DESCRIPTION
Acne in patients with skin of color presents distinct therapeutic challenges, including post-inflammatory pigment alteration, scarring, and contextual factors related to cultural practices. This session offers a practical, evidence-based framework for managing acne and its sequelae across pediatric and adult populations. Topics include optimized medical therapy, the safe and effective use of lasers and energy-based devices, integration of cosmeceuticals, and strategies to strengthen treatment partnership. Designed for board-certified dermatologists, dermatology residents and fellows, academic researchers, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners.
