DESCRIPTION

This session will share practical insights based on clinical experiences with pediatric dermatology patients. Underrecognized presentations and contributory factors for pediatric rashes will be presented. Case-based scenarios will be utilized to highlight common issues and illustrate strategies for the evaluation and management of atopic dermatitis, acne, and reactive eruptions.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Recognize triggers for rashes in pediatric patients.

2.

Evaluate and manage hyperandrogenism in adolescents with acne.

3.

Address potential impacts of allergy (food or contact) and parental steroid phobia in children with atopic dermatitis.
