BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Sarah Jackson is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical, cosmetic, and laser dermatology. Dr. Jackson received her undergraduate degree in zoology from Louisiana State University, graduating cum laude. She earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, and completed her dermatology training at the LSU Department of Dermatology. Since 2006, she has co-led Audubon Dermatology in New Orleans with her partner, Dr. Deirdre Hooper. Dr. Jackson also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at LSU and an Adjunct Professor in the Tulane Department of Dermatology. Dr. Jackson is the current President of the Women’s Dermatologic Society and is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, where she serves on the Coding and Reimbursement Committee and will soon join the Member Communications Committee. She is also a member of the Dermatology Foundation’s Annenberg Circle and previously served as Louisiana State Chair. Her additional professional involvement includes past presidency of the Louisiana Dermatology Society, service on its Advocacy Committee, and membership in the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery’s Stegman Circle, the Skin of Color Society, the New Orleans Women’s Dermatologic Journal Club, and the Louisiana State Medical Society. A dedicated clinical trialist, Dr. Jackson is committed to advancing dermatology through research and education. She enjoys giving lectures and teaching locally and nationally and has particular interests in cosmetic dermatology training for physicians and the business of dermatology.
