BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Saakshi Khattri is among a small group of physicians in the United States with formal training in both dermatology and rheumatology. She earned her M.B.B.S. from Delhi University (India) and completed her Internal Medicine residency followed by a Rheumatology fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Recognizing the significant overlap between rheumatologic and dermatologic disease, she pursued additional dermatology training, including a two-year research fellowship at Rockefeller University under Dr. Emma Guttman and Dr. James Krueger, followed by a Dermatology residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Khattri is currently an Associate Professor at Mount Sinai and serves as Director of the Center for Connective Tissue Diseases, Director of the Inpatient Dermatology Consult Service at Mount Sinai’s Westside Campus, and Program Director for the Dermatopharmacology Fellowship. Her clinical and research focus centers on autoimmune/inflammatory skin disease with dermatology/rheumatology overlap, and she serves as Principal Investigator on multiple clinical trials.
