BIOGRAPHY
John R. Durkin, MD, MBA, is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of New Mexico and serves as Residency Program Director. He practices general and complex medical dermatology with a focus on cutaneous oncology, laser and procedural dermatology, and inflammatory skin disease. Dr. Durkin is actively involved in clinical research as a principal investigator on industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated trials, with particular interests in immunologic and targeted therapies for conditions such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, vitiligo, and lichen planus. He is passionate about resident education, mentorship, and expanding access to dermatologic care in underserved communities. Dr. Durkin frequently lectures on emerging therapeutics and procedural dermatology and is committed to advancing evidence-based, patient-centered care.
