BIOGRAPHY
Oleg E. Akilov, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Director of the Cutaneous Lymphoma Program at UPMC. A physician–scientist specializing in cutaneous T-cell lymphomas, including mycosis fungoides and Sézary syndrome, his work integrates clinical care with translational research focused on immune profiling, biomarker discovery, and precision medicine approaches. Dr. Akilov leads multiple investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored clinical trials and has contributed extensively to the understanding of disease heterogeneity and treatment response in CTCL. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and is actively involved in national and international collaborations aimed at advancing the diagnosis and management of cutaneous lymphomas.
