BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Van Beek currently serves as the Executive Director of Ambulatory Care for the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics where she also completed 2 terms as Chief of Staff of the hospital system. Dr. Van Beek holds the C. William Hanke Professor of Dermatologic Surgery & Cutaneous Oncology and is director of the ACGME fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology. She performs Mohs surgery at the University of Iowa and the Iowa City Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Van Beek has been heavily involved with her national specialty organizations with her interest in health policy. Currently, she is the Chair of the Dermatology Section Council for the AMA, Chair of the APD Surgical Section, Chair of the Council on Legislation for the American Medical Association, and serves on the Board of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
