BIOGRAPHY
Carl Schanbacher, MD, is a Nebraska native who received his medical training at the University of Nebraska and completed advanced training at Mayo Clinic. He studied under the mentorship of Richard Bennett, MD, refining his expertise in cutaneous surgery and dermatologic oncology. Dr. Schanbacher practices full-time as a Mohs surgeon in the Boston area, where he manages complex skin cancer cases and reconstruction. In parallel, he has mentored and taught hundreds of students and trainees, reflecting a deep commitment to education and surgical excellence. His work integrates clinical precision, innovation, and disciplined scientific thinking.
