Oliver J. Wisco, DO, FAAD

BIOGRAPHY

Oliver J. Wisco, DO, FAAD, FACMS, is dual board-certified in Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery. He serves as an Associate Professor, Clinician Educator, in the Department of Dermatology at Brown University. Additionally, he holds academic appointments as a faculty member in Brown University’s Master’s in Health Informatics Program and as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Dermatology at the F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University and at Oregon Health & Science University. Beyond his academic roles, much of Dr. Wisco’s time is devoted to providing care for underserved and high-risk patients in rural settings through a clinic system he established, Dermatology Health Specialists. Previously, a significant portion of Dr. Wisco’s medical career was spent in the military. He served more than 20 years in the United States Air Force and retired at the rank of Colonel. Dr. Wisco’s research focuses on understanding the risk factors that lead to high-risk skin cancer and advanced melanoma in order to improve care processes and promote population health. He is dedicated to exploring methods to integrate patients, clinicians, health systems, and local governments to support the creation of healthy, sustainable communities.
