F038 Using DataDerm to Understand Disparities in Dermatologic Care
DESCRIPTION
Since inception, the AAD's clinical data registry, DataDerm, has collected data on nearly 50 million patient encounters with the goal of promoting the highest standards in clinical practice and research, including addressing disparities in dermatologic care. Session speakers will use real world data from the registry to discuss disparities in treatment of dermatologic disease. Experts will discuss how our specialty can prospectively identify data elements to address and mitigate disparities in diagnosis and response to treatment over time.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Recognize how registries can facilitate better understanding of current disparities in treatment for inflammatory disease and dermatoses.
Identify the impact of social determinants on access to advanced treatments
Explore how the creation of data standards can facilitate the use of registries to address disparities in how patients experience disease and treatment response.
